• The exercise bike generator will use a 36V, 300W motor to charge a 12V battery.

​

• In order to drive 12.8 amps of current the motor will need to spin at 2650 to 2900 rpms.

​

• The the rate of the velocity ratios will be used to put the input rpms on the exercise machine at a natural human cadence. 

​

• The generator frame must accommodate the frames of different exercise machines that utilize exposed pulleys of sufficient diameter.

​

• Effort will be made to keep the entire assembly weight below 30 lbs.

​

• Set up time not to exceed 5 minutes.

​

• The budget for the prototype will not exceed $300.00 in material expenses and labor.
